About Marchesi Antinori Tormaresca

When purchasing Tormaresca, the Antinori family’s Puglia estate, in 1998, the took a two-prong approach: the 247-acre Tenuta Bocca di Lupo... sits in Castel del Monte in the wild beauty of Murgia, and the 1,235-acre satellite called Masseria Maime in Salento, close to the Adriatic sea. Growing both indigenous and international grape varietals, Tormaresca draws from these two locations to create wines that offer a panoramic view of Puglia, while offering a finessed style that bridges traditional Italian and more modern wine profiles. As with most of Antinori's estates, Tormaresca rests in the capable hands of CEO, enologist, and winemaker Renzo Cotarella and his team, who work to craft wines that transmit the region's unusual volcanic terroir. Bocca di Lupo, the flagship Aglianico wine from Tormaresca’s Murgia site, may be the most famous of the estate’s releases, but Tormaresca also makes an entry-level red, Trentantelli, as well as Pietrabianca, a white, and Kaloro, a mineral-laden rosato; each wine represents a different facet of Puglia, one of Italy’s great undiscovered gems.

About Tenuta di Salviano "Castello di Titignano"

Both very old and extremely new, Tenuta di Salviano is the latest venture at the Castello di Titignano property in Umbria.... Owned since 1650 by the Corsini family, the vineyards surrounding Castello di Titignano, which was built in 937, have been making fine wine for millennia. In the 20th century, the Titignano property passed into the hands of the Incisa della Rocchetta family, when Donna Nerina Corsini married Marchese Enrico Incisa della Roccetta, the family responsible for the creation of Sassicaia at Tenuta San Guido, their estate in Bolgheri. In 2015, Titignano passed to Priscilla and Giovanni Incisa della Rocchetta, the children of Nerina and Enrico; five years later, following the death of Priscilla, Giovanni decided to honor his sister’s memory with the creation of Tenuta di Salviano, a special winemaking entity dedicated to crafting fine Umbrian wines. Spanning 173 acres on the southern side of Corbara Lake in the heart of the Orvieto Classico wine region, Salviano sports soils rich in limestone and fossils and grows a combination of indigenous and international grape varietals.

Bosco del Merlo

Bosco del Merlo’s name derives from the beautiful oak forests that are native to northeast Italy, and this expansive estate borders a nature park and unfurls... across more than 220 acres of prime winemaking terroir. Nestled in the hills bordering Friuli and the Veneto, Bosco del Merlo sits equidistant between the breezes rolling off the Adriatic Sea and the Carnic Prealps, the limestone mountain range that stretches through Friuli-Venezia Giulia into the Dolomites. This location gifts Bosco del Merlo with beneficial temperature variations, pure sunlight, and “caranto” soils, a mix of clay and limestone, all attributes that have made this region prime winemaking territory since Roman times. Bosco del Merlo was founded in 1977 by three brothers, Carlo, Lucia, and Roberto Paladin, who rely on Bosco del Merlo’s natural beauty to make the wines at this family-owned estate. Bosco del Merlo crafts a full range of affordable and delicious wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Verduzzo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Refosco, and each bottling blends terroir and tradition in unforgettable flavor profiles.
