Bright, vibrant, and sneaky in its complexity, this 2020 Rosso di Montalcino strides the line between juicy and tart, showing fistfuls of red and blue frutti di bosco, pressed herbs, violet petals, underbrush, and a dusting of savory earth and olives. This wine’s bitter almond finish makes it a food-friendly pick for hard cheeses, cured meats, and grilled veggies!

Elegant, textured, and terroir driven, La Torre’s organic, high-altitude Brunello is one of the stars of the 2017 vintage. This wine frames its... juicy black cherries and crisp berries with fistfuls of flower petals, ample savory herbs, dusty earth, and touches of new leather, spice, and licorice. Tannins feel chewy, yet even though it has the structure to age a decade or longer, this graceful Brunello allows for earlier approachability. Fewer than 1,100 cases made in 2017.
