At once fruity and fresh, succulent and mineral-laden, and aromatic yet structured, this Barolo vastly over-performs its modest price point. Crushed rose petals and mint greet the nose, followed by black cherries, licorice, cigar wrapper, and a healthy scoop of earthy mineral notes accented by tar and truffle.
