Castello Bonomi Franciacorta Brut CruPerdu 2014
If you can imagine a classic vintage Champagne with an Italian twist, you can imagine Castello Bonomi’s Franciacorta Brut CruPerdu, a blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir. Lemon curd, crushed nuts, fresh brioche, orchard fruits, pressed mint, and wet river rocks mingle in the nose of the elegant, zesty 2014 CruPerdu. A fine perlage, a satisfyingly full mouthfeel, and a bitter almond finish make this subtle and refined Italian sparkler a winner. Crafted with méthode champenoise protocol, Cru Perdu is a celebratory treat that’s appropriate from appetizers to fish courses.
