Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur Puligny-Montrachet Les Levrons 2020
If you’re a fan of crisp, zesty, lemony Puligny-Montrachet, then this 2020 Les Levrons is for you. Despite its warm growing year, this wine is all about freshness, and even four years after release, it feels youthfully austere. Generous lemon zest frames the silky pears and crunchy apples that layer on a foundation of crushed limestone, white flower petals, and orange peel. Crystalline and ultra-pure, this Puligny-Montrachet takes its time unraveling its many notes as it builds to a lingering, surprisingly powerful finish. Coming from a 1.6-acre lieu-dit, the Les Levrons is a cru bottling considered to be a half-step up from a village-level wine.
