About Domaine Dujac
Jacques Seysses, the founder of Domaine Dujac, inherited his passion for winemaking from his father, Louis, a biscuit maker and gastronome. Jacques put his passion into practice in 1968, when he purchased the Domaine Graillet and renamed it Dujac. Within ten years, Jacques had returned to school to receive his degree in oenology, a testament to his seriousness about making wine. Over the past five decades, Domaine Dujac has expanded to almost 40 acres and produces wine in both Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune; using biodynamic and sustainable practices, Dujac employs strict green harvests when necessary, relies on whole bunch vinification, and works hard to let the vineyard and the vintage express themselves. Jacques has turned the reins of the estate over to his son Jeremy and daughter-in-law Diana, and they continue the Dujac tradition of trusting the estate’s terroir and believing in the gifts of nature. Dujac always makes outstanding Pinot Noir wines that have a great ability to age well, drink beautifully, and convey their unique terroir.
