Giuseppe Quintarelli Rosso del Bepi 2014 1.5L
Silky and multi-layered, Quintarelli’s complex 2014 Rosso del Bepi complicates its luscious, sun-warmed red and blue fruits with underpinnings that are by turns savory, sweet, and surprising. Musky underbrush, balsamic herbs, blood orange zest, melted chocolate, and violet petals meld and mingle with berries and cherries in this declassified Amarone. This is an elegant thinking wine that invites meditation over its mineral-laden framework, electric acidity, and chewy fine-grained tannins. Quintarelli may choose not to call it an Amarone, but it’s a feast for the senses, and in magnum, this wine will age gorgeously for decades.
