Will Di Nunzio 95
Grattamacco Bolgheri Superiore 2016
You can trust Grattamacco to make the most of a benchmark vintage, and the estate’s 2016 flagship is a silky, complex, utterly compelling wine. Juicy wild berries and some brooding plums find a showcase in wild Mediterranean herbs, sun-warmed loam, saddle leather, and touches of chocolate, pipe tobacco, and peppery spices. Fine-grained tannins and elegant acidity create a texture of flocked silk, while savory minerals complement the wine’s delicious sweet fruits. This Grattamacco is superb, and it’ll be gorgeous well into the end of the decade.
