There’s no question that 2020’s Super Tuscans are almost uniformly incredible, but Grattamacco’s 2020 flagship is a standout in its class. This is one super-refined, beautifully sculpted wine, with tons of blue and red berries that almost vibrate against a backdrop of Mediterranean scrub, peppery spices, fresh earth, smoky minerals, and subtle menthol herbs. Silky tannins and zesty acidity harmonize seamlessly, providing structure for aging, yet you can enjoy this Bolgheri Rosso Superiore as soon as it hits your table — just decant thoroughly first!
