Will Di Nunzio 95
Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino 2015
Sleek, a little animale, and gorgeously structured, Il Poggione’s 2015 Brunello is a gorgeous beast. Dusty minerals, violet petals, saddle leather, sun-warmed earth, mocha, and Mediterranean scrub frame this Brunello’s ripe, juicy cherries and berries. Tannins feel chewy yet elegant, acidity feels electric, and a nice mineral core thrums along to the sustained finish of this balanced, seductive Brunello. Just entering its drinking window in 2023, this Brunello has decades ahead of it — you’ll want to revisit it again and again!
