Marchesi Antinori Tignanello Toscana IGT 2018
Terrifically complex, the 2018 Tig springs from the glass with a profusion of high-toned red fruits and brambly black berries that dance on a bed of new leather, rose petals, warm wood, peppery spices, mocha, and a kiss of vanilla. Tannins are tight right now, but with a couple of years of aging, they’ll show their velvety bellies as maturity seamlessly integrates this wine’s electric acidity and nice dry extract. You’re going to want to be patient with this knockout Tig, but time will reward your self-control — this is a wine that’s going to be legendary.
