Montevertine Montevertine Toscana IGT
Montevertine’s 2020 flagship is an absolute stunner. Layers and layers of saturated blackberries and cherries mingle with savory notes of warm loam, new saddle leather, pressed wild herbs, gravel, and sprinklings of violet petals and spice. Like its more famous sibling, Le Pergole Torte, the Monteverine Rosso feels compact and intense, marrying its silky tannins with driving acidity and welding its copious dry extract to its spicy, mineral-strewn spine. You’ll want to let this Super Tuscan age for a few years, but it’ll drink for decades.
