Capitalizing upon Chris Marino’s experience working in Michelin-starred restaurants and Marjorie Marino’s international background in marketing and management, the couple recognized a rare opportunity to forge the life they wanted in Le Marche, finding the property that would become their Tenuta Marino in 2017. Located a short drive from the Adriatic resort town of Senigallia, Tenuta Marino is new to the world, but what this estate lacks in history, it more than makes up for in microclimate and natural beauty. Just fifteen organically tended acres, the Marino estate holds multiple olive groves and 8 acres of vineyards planted to indigenous grapes Sangiovese and Montepulciano, as well as both red and white international varietals. The estate’s debut wine is its crisp mono-varietal 2018 Sangiovese Rosé, but Marino has since released three reds and will soon release its two Metodo Classico sparklers as well. Poised to make the most out of its sea-swept, sunny hillside vineyards, Tenuta Marino has a bright future for its winemakers — and for lovers of Italian wine.
