Racy, fleshy, and complex, this 2012 Griotte-Chambertin has aged very, very nicely. Masses of ripe red and blue fruits meld seamlessly with game,... grilled herbs, freshly turned loam, baking spices, and crushed river rocks in this seductive Pinot Noir. A skein of vibrant acidity thrums through the center of this wine, as fine-grained tannins cling to the palate — there’s a long, lingering finish that resonates on the palate. All in all, a terrific effort that’s just entering its drinking window!
