Cerbaiona Rosso di Montalcino 2021
Yes, 2021 was a ripe vintage, and Cerbaiona’s 2021 Rosso di Montalcino turns that growing year into a lush, seductive, and altogether fascinating wine. Loads of sappy black cherries and crunchy blackcurrants layer with forest floor, new leather, white truffles, lavender petals, and touches of oak, herbs and spice. This Rosso is remarkably full bodied, filling the mouth with chewy tannins, rich dry extract, and earthy minerals, but there’s a lovely inner lift and vivid acidity that keeps it nimble and fresh. Enjoyable now or years down the road.
